Rastafari Society of Kenya files petition seeking to legalize Marijuana

The Rastafari Society of Kenya and Mwendwa Wambua alias Ras Prophet have each filed a petition in court seeking for legalization of Marijuana. Rastafari Society of Kenya in its petition rises issue with section 3 of the Narcotic Drugs and Physio-tropic substance that outlaws Marijuana arguing that this criminalizes the Rastas spiritual use of cannabis yet the manifestation of their religion enjoys constitutional protection.
