Erin Alexander is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in the regulated cannabis and gaming industries. With a unique blend of experience – from starting as a litigator at a large law firm to serving as a government regulator to working in-house as Assistant General Counsel at a fast-growing cannabis startup, Erin brings unparalleled insight and a solutions-oriented approach to clients.

As one of the first 100 employees at one of the country’s largest multi-state cannabis operators, Erin played a crucial role in building the company’s legal department and regulatory function from the ground up. She oversaw licensing for over 20 production and 50 retail facilities across multiple states, leveraging her background as a former casino gaming regulator. Erin’s ability to navigate complex regulations and guide her team through rapid growth was instrumental to the company’s success.

Before her in-house experience, Erin honed her legal skills at the Illinois Gaming Board, where she advised the board and staff on all legal and policy matters, managed outside litigation, oversaw administrative cases, and managed public information requests.

She is a respected voice in the cannabis industry, sharing her expertise at conferences and as a member of the International Cannabis Bar Association and Illinois Women in Cannabis. She has a law degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and is licensed to practice in Illinois.
